David Lee Jeremiah was born on May 28, 1949 in Tulare, California to Clinton and Olus Jeremiah. He grew up mostly in Oregon and northern California, and graduated from Seaside High School with the class of 1968. He joined the U.S. Navy that same year and served aboard the U.S.S. Casimir Pulaski, a James Madison class ballistic missile nuclear submarine. During his service, Dave consistently received the highest test scores in every class he attended and was promoted to Machinist Mate, Second Class nearly two years ahead of his peers. While aboard the U.S.S. Casimir Pulaski Dave completed two patrols in the North Atlantic in support of cold war operations. He loved telling others about how he’d listened to Neil Armstrong walk on the moon while their sub was deep below the polar ice caps. He received an Honorable Discharge and left active duty in 1972. He eventually arrived in Gillette, Wyoming where he worked as a Control Electrician for PacifiCorp until he retired in 2004. After retirement he spent time in Portland, Oregon, Panama City Beach, Florida and Spanish Fort, Alabama. He returned to Gillette in 2017 where he lived until his passing.
Dave was always active and enjoyed hiking in the Big Horns, all-kinds of fishing, being near the ocean, and traveling the world. He was an amazing father and would do anything he could for his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by one son Chris Jeremiah and his better half Savannah Bailey of Cody, Wyoming; two daughters, Lisa Keosababian and her husband Tim of Woodinville, Washington and Mary Ann Michael and her husband Jason of Gillette and three grandchildren, Emma Michael and Jordan and Axel Jeremiah.
