Obituary for Bryan Gaudard

Funeral services for Bryan Gaudard, 57 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home in Buffalo, will be held Sunday, February 18th at 2:00 p.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Seppala officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with the VFW and American Legion military graveside honors to follow the funeral. Donations in Bryan’s memory may be made to a fund to help the family defray final costs by going to www.harnessfuneralhome.com and selecting Tribute Fund.

Bryan lived a life that was packed with adventures, while being surrounded by people who loved him. His laugh alone could be heard across the county and was truly infectious. He was feared by fish, loved by his family and cherished by his friends.

Bryan was born to Joseph Edward Gaudard and Vonnie Bazaire Gaudard on April 9, 1960 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He was the older brother to Michelle and Brigette who adored him. Bryan graduated high school from Gladwin High School in 1978. He married Tammi Wright in 1978 and joined the Air Force. He was selected for technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas in the Air Force aircraft maintenance field. Bryan served from 1978-1982, during which time he was a Crew Chief mechanic for B52 Bombers.

In 1988, Bryan and Tammi had their son, Andrew (Andy) Gaudard. In 1999, Bryan moved to Wyoming, which he aptly termed “God’s Country”. He married Linda Seppala (Sibila) in 2003 and they settled in Buffalo, WY. They chose Buffalo because Bryan and Linda could be in the mountains hunting or fishing within 15 minutes. Bryan recently described one of the best days of his life being the day he bagged his first Wyoming elk, a mount that graces the walls of his home to this day.

Bryan is survived by a large family, including his wife Linda Gaudard, son Andy Gaudard,
mother Vonnie Gaudard, and sister Michelle Watson. Stepdaughters Natalie (Brady) Terrell and family, Nicole (Gavin) Rooney and family, & Jessica (Brad) DeLong and family, nieces
and nephews including Kristen Searcy and Ann Watson, Jordan and Christina Trapp and family, and grandchildren Wyatt, Aidyn, Parker, Cathleen, Brody, Braden, Brand, and Dylan.

Bryan was preceded in death by his dad, Joseph Gaudard, maternal grandparents Georgena & Lewis Bazaire, paternal grandparents Mary Gaudard Nixon & Xavier Gaudard, and sister Brigette Lynn Vincent.

When Bryan was asked what he enjoys in life, he said “I hunt, I fish, I work & I do what my wife tells me.”
