BETTY D. LOGAN
January 12,2018

Interment will be at Willow Grove Cemetery. Donations in Mrs. Logan’s memory can be made to the Bread of Life Food Pantry in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Elizabeth “Betty” Dawn Ell was born on June 22, 1929, in Ortonville, Minnesota, to Herbert and Pearl Ell. Betty, the oldest of four sisters, grew up in Ortonville and graduated from Ortonville High School in 1947. Betty married Robert “Bob” Emmett Logan on December 12, 1947, in Ortonville.
In 1952, Bob, Betty, and their three children moved to Casper, Wyoming, where their fourth child was born. Bob was employed by Shell Oil, who relocated the family to Salt Lake City, Utah, and to Farmington, New Mexico, where their fifth child was born. In 1966 the Logans moved to Jackson, Wyoming, to purchase their own business. Betty did the bookwork while Bob ran the business. Three years later they moved to the Buffalo area where she and Bob managed all operations at the Lake DeSmet Lodge and Marina. When they moved into town, Betty, an avid reader, applied for what she considered to be her perfect job: librarian at the Johnson County Library. Betty worked at the library for 15 years before retiring in 1990.
Betty and Bob were married for 64 years until Bob passed away in January 2012. Betty was a devoted wife and mother who lived a life of kindness, acceptance, integrity, and love. She will be greatly missed.
Betty is survived by three daughters, LeeAnn Moser and her husband Dennis of Kanarraville, UT; Laurie Logan of Buffalo, WY; and Lynn O’Gan and husband Tim of New Braunfels, TX; one son Michael Logan and his wife Charity of Eureka, CA; one sister Angie Redepenning and her husband Truman of Ortonville, MN; brother-in-law Bill Logan of Sheridan, WY; sister-in-law Betty Miksche of Ripon, CA; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son John Logan, and two sisters Gay Ell and Eunice Ell Swanson.
